Our school's Primary and Secondary Divisions sent four student representatives to participate in the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China organized by the Chinese Culture Worldwide Alliance (全球中華文化大聯盟) — the Greater Bay Area Youth Chinese Culture Workshop (大灣區青少年中國文化工作坊) on October 19, 2024.
The student representatives were LAI Chit Ki Denis (MS3), TSUI Tsz Hong (MS3) , CHAN Cheuk Him (DS3), ZHONG Hang Kin (DS3), CHEUNG Ho Ming (DS2), and LIM Sum Yau (DS2). On that day, our school students, along with over 300 mainland and Hong Kong students, experienced a variety of activities at the Shenzhen Research Institute of Chinese University of Hong Kong. These activities included experiencing the Chinese food culture, learning about the ethnic groups in China, watching the fantastic lion dance performance by mainland students, listening to guest speakers’ keynote speeches and minority ethnic songs, and participating in the “教識徒弟好師傅競賽”. This event not only enhanced students' understanding of China as a multi-ethnic country but also allowed them to appreciate Chinese culture.
